About

Reverend Dr. Bertha Perkins founded new Fellowship Baptist Church (NFBC) in 1985. At that time, it primarily served as an African American congregation for Southern NH. During its early stages, the congregation did not have a church building, so Worship Services were held in private homes.

NFBC was chartered in 1987 and through Reverend Perkins' work with New Church Development of ABC, she found a place to hold prayer services and Bible Study. That place was First Baptist Church in Hudson, NH. The Lord provided this shared arrangement and it remained in place until 1996.

During one of the Reverend's community outreach visits, in the summer of 1996, she came across a Church building that she believes the Lord led her to. Her prayers, for a church building for the NFBC Congregation, were answered. She immediately made plans to use the building, and eventually the Congregation was able to purchase the building. The church was built in 1910 and it continues to represent a historical structure in the community.
